Members of the Uruguay Economic Mission to the United Kingdom

Dr. Gustavo Gallinal, President of the Uruguay Economic Mission to the United Kingdom, and other members of the Mission, at Electra House, Victoria Embankment, London, having been entertained to lunch by the Directors of Cable and Wireless. Afterwards, they visited London Station and exchanged messages with home. This picture, was then sent by radio to Buenos Aires, and by air to Montevideo. Cadets from HMS 'Worcester'

Nine cadets from HMS 'Worcester' visited the Cable and Wireless Ltd. cable laying ship C.S 'Mercury', while C.S 'Mercury' was at Greenwich, London, loading cable and repeaters before steaming to the West Indies to lay the Bermuda/Tortola telephone cable.
